Eating time in a family is the best time to bond and to learn about their culture. It’s also the best time to share your stories, so they will know you better. Don’t miss it !

3.       Prepare gifts for your host.

At the end of your stay, give the gifts your hometown that you have prepared from the members of the family to show your gratitude.

THE DON’TS

1.       Don’t be ignorant

Don’t be a slob and don’t be a diva, too. Always lend a hand whenever you can.

2.       Don’t be afraid of practicing the target language

Your host family knows that you wan to improve your skill in using target language. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes.

3.       Don’t forget to inform your whereabouts

If you want to get late whether to join a study group or just chill with your new buddies, tell your host parents in advance. It shows that you respect them.
